G7 MASTER CERTIFIED PRINTER

Why are print buyers making G7 a requirement?

Typically a print‐buy is either distributed geographically or distributed across different print types. So, for example, a buyer may want to purchase marketing collateral, packaging and signage with the same brand imagery. Clearly the substrate, gamut and other print characteristics will vary for the different print products. But if all the print products have the same gray balance and neutral tonality defined by G7, they will look remarkably alike to the human eye. Because buyers believe the similarity of the visual appearance

But if all the print products have the same gray balance and neutral tonality defined by G7, they will look remarkably alike to the human eye.

Because buyers believe the similarity of the visual appearance a cross print products is critical, they now make G7 a buying requirement.

FSC® Certified

fsc2
FSC® CERTIFIED PRINTER STATUS SINCE 2005

DigiLink’s Certification Code:  BV-COC-001078

Forest Stewardship Council® ensures that products used throughout the printing process supply chain — from logger to printer — are sourced from responsibly managed forests.

For more about FSC® visit their website, http://www.fscus.org/.

Some interesting facts from the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization:

  • Forests cover about 30% of the Earth’s land or about 10 billion acres.
  • About half of these acres are used to make products for people like fuel, building materials or paper and packaging.

Here are two critical things to know:

  • Only a tiny fraction – 0.64 % – of the wood from those forests is harvested each year.
  • And the amount of wood growing on these forested acres has remained steady for 20 years.

  • Using soy or vegetable-oil based inks for our traditional presses.
  • Using recyclable print cartridges and printheads.
  • Using cleaning solvents free of environmentally harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
  • Eliminating toxic chemicals from plate processing by utilizing process less technologies.
  • Providing in-house finishing, distribution, and mailing services, which saves natural resources by avoiding unnecessary transport from our warehouse to a second vendor.
